We took the kids to see the St. Louis Arch today, and the boys went all the way to the top. Along the riverfront I also took some photos of Eads Bridge (complete in 1874), which is also known for its own beautiful arches.

See more photos here.

We arrived in St. Louis last night after two long days of driving. So far the boys have just been playing around Grandma and Grandpa’s house, but we’re hoping to start doing some fun “STL” stuff with them over the next few days.

We’ve been through the “first cereal” routine four times now, but it’s still just as special.

As you can see, we’re still waiting for the glory of Spring to arrive here. We had a few beautiful days in the sixties a couple of weeks ago, and then winter came back with a vengence. Despite the weather, the Spring migration of birds has begun. I’ve been seeing all kinds of ducks as well as some gulls and one avocet. The herons are back and the pelicans should be in soon. I hope to get some good shots this year to share.
We finally decided to do some bedroom switching to make room for the new baby to have somewhere to sleep (other than right next to mom, that is).
So to make more room upstairs for the girls, I spent the last two days turning the downstairs guest room (better yet, the “mess” room) into a new bedroom for the boys.

It’s not totally done yet, but the I think the boys are going to like their new place.
