why is it blue?

Wikipedia says it’s “evoked by light having a spectrum dominated by energy with a wavelength of roughly 440–490 nm.”
But my personal take is that it’s just what Julie came home with from the store today. Maybe it’s supposed to look “neat” to the kiddos.
